PODCAST: Redefining Feminism

My first 'real' podcast episode!

Redefining Feminism: A Personal Journey

Hello!

In this first episode of A Sacred Wild Life podcast, I explore the evolution of my feminist beliefs and how they’ve transformed over time. I share my experiences with feminism, from my formative years to the disillusionment I faced in recent years.

In this episode, you'll hear about:

  • My early influences and how they shaped my understanding of feminism.

  • The challenges and realizations that led me to question mainstream feminist narratives.

  • How collectivism might impact personal agency and responsibility.

  • The importance of reclaiming individual power for meaningful change.

Why this? Why now?

I’ve been wanting to start a podcast for a while, my first baby step was sharing me reading my article, “Are you in the Right Gear?” back in February. My hope is that this podcast evolves into a platform where we can explore the conscious choice to embrace harmony over hustle and deep connection over distraction. A place to nourish our connection with the divine, with the rhythm of nature and give us the sense of safety and love to be our fullest, most creative selves; the light, the dark, the messy, the inspired, the curious and everything in between.

I wanted to start with feminism because, as I say in the beginning of the episode, it’s the soil from which I was raised, it’s guided my life in big ways and yet I began to feel disillusioned by it and I wanted to explore that. I have a feeling that I’m not alone in that disillusionment.

I invite you to listen to this episode and reflect on how embracing your authentic self can create profound shifts in both your personal life and the world around you.

Listen now and join in the conversation! You can listen here or on Spotify or Apple Podcasts!

With love,
Annie
